Joint IAEA-KAERI Consultants Meeting on
Recommended Data for Atomic Processes of Tungsten Ions

hosted by Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI)

14-16 September 2015, Daejeon, Republic of Korea

Meeting room:
Atopia Hall 106 (Seminar Room I)
Nuclear Training & Education Center

Meeting Objectives

Atomic data for tungsten is highly important for operating tokamaks with tungsten wall. The purpose of the meeting is to evaluate effective rate coefficients for tungsten in plasma; effective rate coefficients for ionization, recombination and radiative power loss. Participants are expected to compare available theoretical and experimental data for all tungsten ions and produce an evaluated data set.

Invited Experts

Duck-Hee Kwon, Wonwook Lee (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute), Xiaobin Ding (Northwest Normal University), Bowen Li (Lanzhou University), Tomohide Nakano (Japan Atomic Energy Agency), Simon Preval (University of Strathclyde), Ehud Behar (Technion, Haifa) and Connor Ballance (Queen's University Belfast)
